The Faces of Occupy Wall Street – Robert

October 9, 2011 § Leave a comment

“I’m 57 years old. I’m outraged over our response – the U.S. government response [to the economic crisis]. This notion you can bail out the banks and everything will be o.k… the fact that we are spending wildly at a time when people are hungry, homeless and have no jobs… it seems close to the definition of insanity. People who are younger than me haven’t seen a world in which the corporate power wasn’t ubiquitous. Unless we address the income inequality which hurts everyone including the rich we are doomed. We need to level the electoral playing field. Overturn Buckley v. Valeo . The time will come for us to specify a list of demands. I hope there is a democratic forum in which to do it. I hope this movement stays peaceful and focused and doesn’t go away.”
